Three Generations of Proper Pies
It all started in 1987 when Nan Peggy opened a tiny shop on Roman Road with nothing but her mum's pie recipe and a whole lot of graft. What began as a one-woman operation serving dockers and market traders has grown into East London's most loved pie and mash shop.
Today, her grandson Danny runs the kitchen using the same recipes — proper suet pastry, slow-cooked fillings, and that famous parsley liquor made fresh every single morning. No shortcuts, no nonsense. Just honest grub done the way it should be.
